The Truth: Delta's Retirement Policy

Delta Flight Attendants get an automatic 3% contribution to their 401k every paycheck. But when compared to other airlines, Delta is no better than average when it comes to ensuring our financial futures.
A new hire flying 90 hours a month would net $1,095 per year with the current automatic 3% contribution. Contributing 6% of your own income to get the company match would get you up to $3,286 per year.
When compared to United and American, Delta Flight Attendants need to contribute 50% more pay to get the same 401(k) retirement coverage as American and United Flight Attendants.

For all management’s insistence that Delta is a leader, our retirement benefits are less or no better than average among other airlines. We deserve the ability to negotiate for a better retirement package with higher company contributions for the industry’s most profitable airline.
