Wishing You a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

After an operational meltdown and pressure from Delta Flight Attendants organizing with AFA, management announced late last night IPY for all trips through December 26, no matter how they were assigned (scheduled, A Day, or Pickup). We didn’t need 48 hours of hell to make this happen. Our Delta Flight Attendant union could have negotiated BEFORE the worst occurred.

Still, whether you’re traveling on days off or working this week, take a moment to say an extra Thank You to each other and all of our aviation family. Happy Holidays to you on this Christmas Day! The holidays is a natural time for us all to connect and feel the strength of solidarity as we prepare for 2022. We know it takes all of us to make planes fly and every job is important for our work as aviation's first responders.

Watching seasonal movies is often a big part of holiday traditions, and how can we not love the opening monologue of Love Actually? It celebrates our work without directly mentioning our role:

"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion’s starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don’t see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it’s not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it’s always there – fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends.
