We’re organizing to be industry leaders

We, Delta Flight Attendants, are organizing to be leaders not followers. We’re organizing to negotiate a first contract with improvements that Delta Flight Attendants prioritize.
David Watson’s announcement today makes clear that management, and management only, will decide what and when we get improvements. Spoiler: it normally follows what Union Flight Attendants have fought and negotiated for at other airlines.
We’ll take sit pay. We’ll take improved holiday pay. We’ll take increased credit rigs. We’ll take improvements. But we’ve earned so much more. Delta made more profits than the rest of the entire industry combined last year!
Imagine what we can win when we have the collective power to negotiate.
We should be leading — not following — in pay; in trip and pay protection; in sick leave and OJI banks; in healthcare and retirement; in everything.
Management knows we’re closer than ever. All of us organizing made this happen. But we won’t be distracted or deterred. We should never have to wait for other Flight Attendants to do it for us. We should lead, have a voice, and make them meet us at the table.

Here are some major areas where United AFA still outpaces us at Delta after today’s announcement. This is by no means an exhaustive list.
