Profit sharing – love it, lock it in

Delta management announced an estimated 8.9% payout in profit sharing for 2025. This is great news – we’ve worked hard alongside our colleagues at Delta all year long. We love that we get a share of the profits we create. We’ll love it even more when we write profit sharing into our contract.
Without our union and our contract, management decides how much we get in profit sharing, if we get anything at all. We’re organizing to define our pay and work rules so we don’t have to cross our fingers before every profit sharing announcement.

Just look at our Pilots, who have profit sharing written into their contract with a formula management can’t change. In 2016, when management slashed our profit sharing payout “in exchange” for a base pay raise, Delta Pilots got their full, contractually guaranteed payout.
That’s the kind of certainty we deserve.
Management touts profit sharing as proof that we are valued and insinuate that with a union we would lose it. False! We don’t want gratitude, we want guarantees. Our contract will replace uncertainty with clarity and perceived goodwill with enforceable provisions that management can’t change on a whim.
This profit sharing announcement is a reminder of what we’re fighting for – a voice on the job and contractually guaranteed profit sharing, work rules and benefits.
