The Truth: LOD Positions

Earlier this year, Delta management announced a $0.50 raise for LOD positions. But there’s a catch.
Management turned a $0.50 raise into a pay cut by slashing the number of LOD positions on our flights.
Many routes went from 3 LODs down to 2. With fewer LOD positions available on flights, each LOD has more work to do onboard. Meanwhile, some LODs get bumped from their trips entirely and have to give up the raise we’ve earned. That’s unacceptable.
Kristen and Mary claim to “recognize the continued value that our LODs bring,” but fall far short of making sure we’re paid our worth. This is a classic carrot and stick, union-busting.

Our union is the only way to prevent management from unilaterally making changes to our jobs.
With our union, we can negotiate our raises and how many LODs work a flight. We know our jobs better than anyone else — we know how many LODs should be onboard for a fair workload. Our contract will put our pay and work rules in black and white. We can make sure a raise is truly a raise and not used to hide staffing cuts while forcing LODs to work harder.
