4% still leaves us playing catch-up

As we get closer every day to filing for our union, Delta management finally announced a raise of 4%, effective June 1. The hourly rates belatedly bring us in line with the new standards across the industry following Alaska, American, and Southwest’s new contracts.
This increase will only make us competitive for a few weeks or months. United AFA announced they’re close to achieving an industry-leading agreement with retro pay, and Southwest and American will be getting more contractually-guaranteed pay increases this year.
We’ll take the raise, and our union with a real industry-leading contract. One, where we can ensure our pay rates are applied with scheduling protections, incentives, benefits, and to our total compensation rates (boarding, TAFB) too.
As Flight Attendants, we know that compensation is about how often we get paid those rates through work rules. And, it’s impossible to calculate compensation without also including the effect of costs like healthcare and coverage that actually meet the needs of our health, too.

We’re organizing for more than base pay raises. We’re organizing for:
- A year-round incentive-overtime program that cannot be arbitrarily turned off by management
- Reroute protections & pay so everyone is more protected, the operation is more rationally covered during IROPs, and scheduling doesn’t treat lineholders like they’re on A-days after they check in.
- Holiday pay that recognizes our time at work on holiday(s) - no matter our seniority.
- A real sick policy with separate sick leave so Flight Attendants know where they stand and can feel comfortable taking our earned sick pay without fear of retaliation. Oh, and better healthcare too!
- Legally-binding work rules and the respect in our workplace that we deserve. Our pilots have had it for almost 90 years, it’s time we have it too!
- Executives have contracts to protect themselves, but we’re the ones who make it possible for Delta to fly. Why should we have any less respect? As we are continually told that we are the face of Delta. It's time we’re respected that way.
We make the profits. Sign your card today and get involved in our campaign to lock in what we love and negotiate for more!
